  Milko was an amazing host at this superb appartment on the second floor. It was super cozy, very clean, abosolutely family-friendly (stayed with two kids, they loved it), a warm, Mexican-style decor, all amenities, the pool was so refreshing, and anything we needed, Milko was always there to provide us with everything (water, high chair, repair toilet, etc.). There is cable TV and Netflix which is a plus :) We recommend staying in Milko's home, we would definitley return any time! Grazie Milko! :)

  This property is a treasure. I stayed upstairs in the second unit and loved the veranda every morning with my beloved. The beds were comfy and the general feel of the apartment was casual, clean and cozy. If I wanted to cook - the kitchen is equipped with everything one would need for meal making and serving it. The casa is immaculately cleaned and cared for. It is decorated with a nice understated Mexican flair, that made for a delightful vacation home. The fab pool is the perfect size for a dip with a nice area to recline and chill-out. It is a 3 minute easy walk to town and even closer to the fabulous white sandy beach.

The location of Casa Izamal is also great, it's a short walk to to town and an even shorter walk to the beach, but set back from the noisier main boulevard. All in all a beautiful trip!

  We had a wonderfull vacation at casa izamal #2 ; we were there for 2 weeks in feb.2017 , 4 adults and 2 babies (the master bedroom was spacious enough to put 2 port-a-crib) , the photos and the property description are really accurate regarding the location, amenities, etc...) the manager provide excellent customer service and the property is very clean and well-maintained
  The beach is 2 min. walk , the beach chairs are included and we borrowed an umbrella at the office ( 3 min. walk from the casa) ... Down town of Puerto morelos is 10 min. walk , it is very nice with a lot of restaurants (i don't have a favorite, they are all very good!)
  Families with children must go to crococun zoo ! About 5 min. in taxi from the casa
  You can pay everything with mexican pesos .. For the grocery you go to super chedraui , about 2 min. In taxi , 30 pesos (2,50 $can) : you will find everything you need there!
  Puerto morelos is very nice, quiet and the location is perfect: a lot of places to visit near by ; xcaret, xel-ha, playa del carmen, cozumel, cancun, isla de mujeres... No car needed! You can go everywhere with bus or taxi at a very good price!
  We really have enjoyed our vacation and we will come back as soon as we can!

  Casa Izamal was a perfect place for our first vacation in Puerto Morelos. The apt was spacious with a well equipped kitchen. The second floor balcony was a great place to relax and enjoy the birds singing in the trees. The staff was very friendly and helpful and the apt was very clean. We really enjoyed the plunge pool and enjoyed reading by the pool during the heat of the day. The location was perfect, with a short walk to the main square and the restaurants.   We have previously stayed in Izamal one (the first floor of this property) The layout for 2 couples is better in Izamal 1 with each bedroom having its own bathroom as an ensuite. But, the extra bright sunny Izamal 2 is nicer along with the lovely little uppper deck and of course the breezes you get. The small pool area is stunning for such a small area with all the plants and flowers. We were fortunate to have excellent neighbors below (fellow Canadians from Ontario) who always made sharing the pool and pool area a non issue. I would stay here again and I would recommend it to others. I would be perfect to have 6 - 8 people and both units rented.

  Casa Izamal is a perfect vacation rental property. Literally a minute walk to the beach. 5 minute walk to the square. It was wonderful to sit on the balcony in the morning to enjoy coffee and breakfast or early evening for a glass of wine before going out to dinner.   When I travel with my family to Mexico, we generally stay at a resort or rent a large home. Since this was a vacation with just my best friend, we didn't need anything large and we wanted something different from the usual resort experience. We read a lot of reviews and decided on Abbey del Sol in Puerto Morelos. We had a wonderful experience! We stayed in Izamal #2. There is so much to review--The unit had more than enough space for two of us and was quite comfortable. We enjoyed making a light breakfast with local fruits and pastries and having a cup of coffee before going out for our day's adventures. The pool was absolutely perfect for cooling off and relaxing at the end of the day. We had the pool area to ourselves for four of our seven days, which was a bonus. We also enjoyed the air conditioning after the hot days! We also appreciated the extras, like beach chairs, beach towels, and 20 gallons of water! Milko was absolutely a delight to work with. He gave us advice on places to visit and restaurants to try, the best ways to travel, and generally just wanted us to enjoy our time in Mexico. Every suggestion we followed turned out perfectly and we were very happy. He even helped us rearrange a transfer to the airport by calling the company for us. We didn't want to leave and will definitely be returning!

  We stayed at Casa Izamal #2 in February 2016. It was perfect for my husband, our 2 year old son and myself. The kitchen had all the appliances and amenities you need. There was a nice little pool and a grill that is shared with the downstairs unit. It is about a 10 minute walk to the town square and about a 1-2 min. walk to the ocean. They offer yoga almost every morning at their main office and it's actually GOOD yoga. They were incredibly responsive when we had any issues or questions. There are 2 bedrooms, one with a king and 1 with 2 twin beds, so this spot might not be the best for 2 couples, but great for kids. I would definitely stay at an Abbey Del Sol property again.

  My family from Japan met us in Puerto Morelos. We rented both Izamal 1 and 2. It was perfect!! We all had enough privacy but we had the pool area to hang out in. The pool was maintained everyday and the proximity to the beach is perfect! This was the second time we stayed at Izamal. The first time was just my husband, daughter and myself and it was perfect as well, space-wise. Milko, the property manager, who is lovely, met us at the office both times and walked us through the house.

  What a lovely vacation we had and what a great place to spend it. What was truly amazing for us was how warm, welcoming and incredibly thoughtful you were.
  Just to give one example, My husband and I were travelling with our 2 year old and asked for a portable crib to use during our stay. When we arrived there was the crib, and there was also a high chair, beach toys, a stroller and a baby bathtub for us to use. We didn't even have to ask!   Up to date, spotless, convenient, professional. These are the important thing you want when visiting a rental property.   We enjoyed our stay at Casa Izamal 2. We loved the balcony in the mornings and evenings. The pool was also lovely for a quick cool off dip. One of the bathrooms could use a little updating but the other was lovely and new looking. I would have liked more counter space and cupboards and a few more kitchen supplies (like a cheese grater, carrot peeler). Overall we had a great visit and the staff at Abbeydelsol were wonderful as always.

  The staff was helpful and the new movies a plus. There is no garden area around the small pool, I suggest adding some potted plants. The room was quiet and comfortable. The location was very good. The short walk to town provided our daily exercise. Nice clean beaches and good restaurants.

  Great apartments, everything you could want in the kitchens, perfect location to walk to town, amazingly friendly staff, especially Pilar, a phone to stay in contact with the US - and tons of great restaurants nearby. Fabulous trip!

  Izamel 2 is great. Two bedrooms, comfortable living room and plenty of space in the kitchen and dining area. We loved it! Convenient walk to central square. Tiff, Abbey and staff were always there to answer our questions and help us out with grocery shopping and water!
  We will definitely be back.

  This is the second time I have stayed with Abbey del sol and it was a great experience. The staff is very nice and offer lots of suggestions. The property is beautiful and well maintained. Everything is within walking distance.

  The location was great, easy to access buses and collectivos to Playa del Carmen, Cancun.
  Staff very helpful. Many tours provided by the manager, the trip to the cenote was great.
  Many great restaurants within 5-10 minutes walking from the casita. Beach less than 5 minute walk.

  Loved our stay in Itzamel 2 second floor 2 bedroom so much we booked again for next year. Covenient to the beach and downtown restaurants. Comfortable bed and everything you need in the kitchen. Thanks For a great weeks vacation!

  We loved this property - it was perfect for our family for Christmas week, plenty of room (we used both units 1 & 2), great location, a pool, barbeque, even a bike. Then I stayed on for the rest of the month in the upstairs unit - great balcony, very light and airy.
  Abbey del Sol did their usual wonderful job of making us feel welcome and very comfortable for our whole stay!
