Even though we showed up without reservation, they immediately found a perfect apartment for us (4 people). The price was great (cheaper than the hostel), the location was good, we enjoyed the pool. So bad that we had a lost a day in the other place. Was the perfect finish for our vacation in Mexico.

  Eight of us (three generations!) rented both levels of Casa Izamal and spent a glorious week. The Casa is arranged so that four people on each level can live in great peace and comfort. Of course, the grandchildren totally loved the pool. The older generations enjoyed frequent dunks, too. The kitchens are spacious and have all the appliances that one could wish. The Casas are very clean and well maintained and the Abbey del Sol staff just down the street are very responsive and helpful in booking various tours and adventures. No complaints or problems...and we tend to be quite critical.

  This home has everything that you need for a great vacation experience. We cooked breakfast and lunch each day and the kitchen had a nice variety of dishes, pots and pans. Toilet paper, paper towels and extra jugs of water were all provided. It is nicely decorated and the furniture and beds are extremely comfortable. Four Tommy Bahama chairs, beach towels and a large umbrella are provided for the beach. The location is excellent being 1.5 blocks from the beach, 4 blocks to the restaurants and shops in town and 3 blocks from the management office at Abbey Del Sol in case you have any questions. The property is very well maintained both inside and out. Housekeeping and fresh towels are available daily at no additional charge. The pool is also cleaned and chemicals checked on a daily basis.I have saved the best for last, the property owner Milko checked us in and gave a tour while explaining everything that we need to know. He is truly a customer service professional and goes out of his way to ensure that his guests have a superb holiday experience. You will not regret staying at this property.

  We had a very smooth rental experience. Milko and crew place high importance on customer service. The location of the unit is close to the beach (although everything is in PM) and the area around the little pool is intimate and peaceful. We had everything we needed to prepare simple meals. The beds were comfortable. We always felt looked after and confident that if anything went wrong, it would be taken care of, but nothing went wrong (except for the week-long vacation coming to its abrupt end). WiFi worked really well! That part of town is very quiet, which we really appreciated, but it's not a long walk to the town square. We loved it and would go back.

  We have stayed at this location on three different occasions. This year, 2016, we stayed for two weeks in February. We shared the two bedroom unit with some friends. The unit is clean and spacious enough for four seniors. It is located one block and a short walk to the beach. The pool, although on the small side, is very clean, refreshing and handy on windy beach days. The picture does not reflect how the plants have grown and how lovely it really is.
  The inside is spotless, beds are fairly comfortable and it has everything supplied you would need. We used the bbq a few times and it was cleaned daily. This year they had installed satellite tv, but other than watching the Super Bowl, we didn't watch it. Netflix was available, and wifi is included.
  When we arrived Milko, the owner, greeted us and offered to take us to the supermarket for supplies. He and his wife, Juanita, and their staff work diligently to keep you happy and to provide everything you need. Also, the staff at the office are very accommodating and work hard to make sure your vacation is a pleasant experience.
  We love Puerto Morelos and love this spot that is central to everything. Already booked for next year!!!

  A wonderful, relaxing, stress-free escape. Had 4 adults and a 10-month old. 2 bedrooms and lots of space. We rented a car and were able to get to Tulum and Gran Cenote easily, also 7 Cenote and the Crocodile Zoo. The village is so walkable and the beach is a minute away. Great restaurants and shops. Wonderful street food, markets, snorkeling with Raul, walking the beach. The accommodation was clean and spacious. The pool area relaxing. Met by Milko and given a full and informative tour of the apartment at the beginning. Got our major groceries at the beginning at Supe Aki in the Colonia(by the highway ~M$30 cab) but then fresh juices and fruit down th street and by the square. Also from a truck. Abbey del Sol had a port-a-crib and stroller for us and a nice, safe raft to th pool for the baby (with an attachable shade). The staff cleaned the pool area daily and replenished the towels and water when needed. A very enjoyable trip. The only concern were a few cracked floor tiles that could scrape toes or fingers of the little one. It did NOT happen.
  My 3rd time and will be coming back again.

  From check in to check out we have nothing bad to say about our stay here. Staff was friendly and the owner came around often to make sure we were well looked after. Great location just off the hustle and bustle of the main street but with in walking distance of most everything you need. We walked up to what the locals call their Walmart. That was a bit of a walk and we were going to take a taxi back but for 5 pesos we came back by bus. All in all, it was a wonderful stay in the quaint little village of Puerto Morelos.

  We absolutely loved our 5 night stay at Izamal #1. The unit was spotless and had everything a "home" should have. The location was ideal. Close to the beach and an easy walk to town. Puerto Morelos is a slice of heaven. Great food, terrific people and a beautiful beach. Since this is a two unit complex with a shared pool it is important to have nice and considerate people in the other unit. Unfortunately, our last 2 days were ruined by the new people who moved in to the upper unit. The were loud, sloppy and rude. We complained to Milko (the owner) and Milko was responsive and wonderful. He even paid for our return trip to the airport. In summation, this is a wonderful unit IF you are sharing it with nice, considerate people.

  This is our 4th trip to Puerto Morelos. Milko and Juanita own this house and take great care of it and make sure the guests are very pleased. They bend over backwards to ensure that. The house is a 10 min walk to town and 1 block from the beach. I consider that great location. Its in a quiet area. Actually all of this side of PM is quiet. We came down with 5. I wouldn't put more than 5 in this home or Primavera unless some are infants. Remember, if you are in a hurry in PM for dining , maybe staying in all inclusive hotels is your deal. None of the all inclusives are close to the town so keep that in mind. A thoughtful point is a cell phone to reach Milko at anytime. My husband, kids and I say, if you can;t relax in PM, you simply can't relax.

  This property is located two blocks from the ocean and a couple more from downtown which is just perfect because it is very quiet (except for stray dogs which party sometimes at night!) and, at the same time, close enough to everything. The small pool was great for a dip after our yoga class. The whole team at Abbey del Sol was very helpful. The only minus was that there is no view because the house is surrounded by a concrete wall which, however, does not prevent the sun from shining in the kitchen in the morning. All in all, a very nice place to stay.

  Our stay at Izamal 1 (an Abbey Del Sol managed property) could not have been better. The property was well equipped, clean, and comfortable. When we did need something, a quick call to Abbey, Tiff, of Jin (on a cell phone they left us with their #'s in it!)and questions were answered or needs accommodated. We were provided with great information on the area and put in touch with "the best" snorkel guide. Airport pickup and drop off also made life easy. They showed us where to shop and encouraged economical safe bus trips to Playa. They are genuine, nice, friendly people with your best interest at heart as well as the best interest of the wonderful local people. HIGHLY recommend a stay at any of their properties and can't wait to visit again.

  We loved our stay at Primevera, the privacy of the pool and the quiet street were lovely
  Casa Izamal was also very nice. Both properties have great beds, warm showers, great kitchen facilities. The bedroom AC did not work at Iazamal and no one seemed overly eager to get it fixed. The staff were very helpful, our only complaint the AC and the booking process. Administration seems a bit weak. Otherwise, a great rental experience

  We booked our trip solely on recommendation from close friends who had travelled there for the last 3 years. We didn't quite know what to expect, & were most pleasantly surprised in all areas. We felt our vacation started from the moment we left the plane & were picked up by Jin from Abbey del Sol. The constant availablility & helpfulness of staff helped us feel completely safe, connected, & able to get the most out of our experience due to information & assistance so readily available. Our accommodation was very clean, met all our needs for the most part (only issue of the whole 3 weeks was an uncomfy couch), thereby helping us feel right at home. We were also happy with the proximity of beach & town, local grocery shopping (especially fresh fish!), choice of restaurants, YOGA classes in the town square (which was a fun place to 'hang out' & people watch - often some community program going on in the evening), use of bikes, complimentary DVDs, courtesy phone & computer to call home. We enjoyed ourselves so much that we booked for next year before leaving!!

  We had a lovely time in this house, stayed for 5 nights on the ground floor. Close walk to the beach, max 5min. The house has been just renovated. The best thing was the outdoor BBQ, we used it many times. Very nice communal pool area.
