  What a charming rental. There were two of us, and the size was just perfect. The location could not be better. A half mile to the restaurants, a quick walk to the beach and quiet in the evenings. The bathroom is a bit small, but was able to put on makeup in the large bedroom. After taking a quick dip into the cooling pool, it is just a few steps to your room. Wonderful place to stay a the staff is AMAZING! I would definitely recommend to a couple looking for an affordable stay on Puerto Morelos.

  We really enjoyed staying at Casa Juanita #1. The apartment had everything we needed from a sunny kitchen table, a cool comfortable bed, a shaded back patio and a swimming pool right out the front door!
  The location is great since there is easy access to the beach and into town, but away of the business of
  the condos. Milko, the manager for Juanita, was helpful lining up quick turnaround for our laundry and taxi service. Our only issue was we didn't stay long enough! Thank you everyone at Abbey del Sol!

  We had a very pleasant stay at CJ#1.
  Milko, the owner was up bright and early each day cleaning the garden , furniture and pool areas. Any request we made was handled quickly and professionally.
  We enjoyed the new restaurants and cafes in town and were very impressed with the rejuvenation of the park in the town centre. We enjoyed many pleasurable evenings listening to the entertainment at the bandshell and of course indulging in our nightly gelato at the shop beside the park. Milko and the rest of the staff in the ADS office are to be recommended for their hospitable and efficient operation.

  Juanita #1 was exactly as advertised. Clean with all the amenities you would need including little extras like a water kettle, beach chairs and umbrella. Also good selection of tv channels and Netfix/YouTube. Wifi worked perfectly inside or around the pool. Milko the property owner was nearby and always available as was the Abbey del Sol staff next door. Location was perfect for us, just blocks from the beach and we enjoyed the short walk to central square and restaurants. Really enjoyed our stay here and would recommend this property to anyone visiting Puerto Morelos, it is a special little town.

  I could rave endlessly about this place and can't wait to return. As a woman experienced in traveling solo in the Caribbean, I felt especially safe at Casa Juanita as the property was very secure with the Abbey del Sol office nearby and the staff were warm, attentive and discreet. Airport transportation was seamless and upon arrival gracious Milko welcomed me at the Casa entry. The town with a new upscale Chedraui grocery, fresh tortillas, and cute shops & restaurants is an easy, safe walk or a cheap cab ride. The Casa and Puerto Morelos strike a perfect balance of value, convenience, beautiful beach sunsets, and local charm. The local residents and fellow tourists are respectful and friendly. Though not necessary, it was fun to learn a little Spanish.
  The Casa is actually BETTER than the accurate online photos and description - to fully appreciate the cozy, harmonious feel of the place, it must be experienced. The design of the property is elegant with local architectural touches such as painted tiles and colorful exteriors and interiors that provide a unique local ambiance.
  Within three minutes, you can saunter over to UNICO or Diving Lodge beach clubs where you can hang for free, but I recommend that you indulge: rent chairs and a palapa for a small fee and enjoy delicious food and drink delivered to your perch on the beach. Casa Juanita and Milko's other properties in Puerto Morelos are PERFECT vacation homes: easy to get to, meticulously maintained and usefully-appointed with excellent WiFI, plentiful towels, and well-equipped kitchen. I loved snorkeling the local wonderful reef, swimming with sea turtles and the local culture, but simply relaxing with a book by the pristine pool area with shady, cozy alcoves and lushly landscaped with hibiscus and bougainvillea at Casa Juanita was my favorite way to spend the day.

  We had an absolutely wonderful vacation in Puerto Morelos. The staff at Abbey Del Sol was first class and Juanita #1 was perfect; clean, well stocked and cozy. Jin set us up on a snorkeling trip which was AMAZING; a 5 minute boat ride to the reef where we saw a barracuda, lobsters, stingrays and lots of beautiful fish.

  We could not be happier with the friendly and professional help that was provided by Milko Righetto when we arrived at Casa Juanita at the Abbey del Sol in Puerto Morelos. Actually the good feeling started at the Cancun airport where our friendly driver was waiting for us outside, exactly as promised. The Casa Juanita unit was spotless and in perfect order, and Milko met us there and made sure that we had everything we needed. The next day he even took us shopping at a local market where we could buy groceries and fresh produce, and delicious locally prepared food for our week-long stay. There was a also a very informative binder with practical information and touring advice.
  The bed was very comfortable, the kitchen equipment met our needs and the office personnel, especially Nancy, always cheerfully answered our questions. But it was Milko's exceptional service and assistance that left us with a warm feeling that will stay with us for a very long time.

  Recommended by the helpful folks at the Alma Libre bookstore in Puerto Morelos, we booked a 1-bedroom suite in the Casa Juanita for 8 nights in March 2012. Starting with the timely pick-up at the Cancun airport, the Abbey staff were courteous, helpful and knowledgeable. The recently renovated accomodations at Juanita were excellent: clean, comfortable and convenient. The courtyard is comfortable for outdoor breakfast, lunch or dinner. With AC, it was easy to keep the suite cool. The kitchen was fully equipped and clean, and everything worked well (stove, fridge, microwave, etc.). The bed was comfortable. The bathroom, although fully functional, could use some updating. The provided beach chairs and umbrella made time on the beach enjoyable. Tiff, Abby and Pilar were conscientious in their efforts to make our stay everything that we wanted it to be. Casa Juanita is close to the beach (3 minute, 1.5 blocks) and an easy 15 minute walk to town centre. Restaurant selection in Puerto Morelos is extensive. Grocery shopping in PM is adequate for those who want to self provision and self cater. Better and cheaper produce are available in the Colonia across the highway. If you are seeking a relaxed holiday, Casa Juanita and Abbey del Sol is a great place to start. Thank you Tiff, Abby and Pilar.

  We loved Puerto Morelos and enjoyed our time at Casa Juanita. It is the perfect way to feel comfortable exploring a new place. The unit was adequate for the 2 of us with all the cooking equipment we needed and was very clean. A bigger bathroom and a pool on site would have been nice. We loved being so close to the beautiful beach, the vegetable truck that came to the door and being able to borrow DVD's to watch at night. The bikes came in handy for quick trips for milk (or wine)too. Jin's airport pickup and stop for groceries was perfect. He even helped us find what we needed in the grocery store. We hope to be back in the spring!

  It is as simple as this. I was picked up at the airport ( charegd a very small fee ), delivered to paradise, given the room we dream of, and catered to. I had recently had surgery and when I shared this it seemed that my service soared to a new level ( I was elated anyway ). My girlfriend flew in the next day and had the same experience. Thanks to all ya'll..... We are here for a month ( at least )
