Granite counter tops, A/C throughout, and a second bathroom in the main bedroom. The second bath has a door out to the pool area for easy access. This charming 2-bedroom home is on a huge lot with big lawn, gorgeous pool and partial view of the ocean. Big french doors let in the breeze. Fully equipped kitchen, free Wi-Fi, flat screen TV, and charming Mexican decor. The second bedroom can be made up as a king bed or two singles. The master bedroom is a brand-new king bed.

  We first stayed at Casa Anita back in 2021 and loved it. We decided to return this year and I’m happy to say it is still as wonderful as our first time.
  The staff at Abbey (especially Mary) are just so friendly and are there to help with anything. The housekeeping staff take extra special time before your visit to make sure the house is clean and welcoming with beautiful towel art with florals from the garden. Even the garden staff keep the grounds in pristine shape. The beds are comfortable, the A/C works excellent and the kitchen is stocked with everything you need if you want to cook. They even start you off with some coffee. The bedrooms are nice a big and having 2 bathrooms is a nice treat. The star of the house is the pool and one of the reasons we love this place. It’s perfect size and not just a plunge pool. It will definitely keep you cooled off on the hot days. Also, Puerto Morelos is our favorite town in Mexico and we really enjoyed all the new restaurants that have opened up since our last visit. We hope to come back soon.

  This perfectly cozy home is ideally situated a just a few blocks from the beach and a 5 minute bike ride from town. The place was clean and beds were comfortable (although I must say the pillows were too lofty for our liking). Very quiet neighborhood with the rental agency just right across the street who were ready to answer questions and refill our drinking water supply daily. This was a perfect laid back location for us, although if you want more action it's minutes away.
  
  We usually spent the mornings by the pool, then used one of 2 nearby public access points and enjoyed the beach. We did not find it necessary to pay for space at the beach. The private beach clubs are all just the sands closest to the resort/club, but all sand in front of that is up for grabs. The house came with beach towels, bags and chairs. All just couldn't be easier.
  
  Oh my goodness, don't get me started on the restaurants! From the least expensive (Blue Morelos) to our nicest place (La Sarina) to everything in between we were not disappointed. Such hospitality everywhere. We purchased breakfast/lunch items at Super Chedraus which is a very nice store, but no bargains there.
  
  My only tip would be if us US dollars, do your own conversion. If you leave it up to them it won't work in your favor! We used mostly credit cards and some dollars. It's handy to have some pesos on hand for purchasing goodies on the beach from the respectful people selling their wears. My favorite was the fresh cut mango and homemade empanadas.
  
  We felt 100% safe our entire stay in Puerto Morelos. There is definitely a laid back vibe in this town. We look forward to coming back!

  This is my second visit to PM, the first being in 2012. Both times, I booked through Abbey del Sol. I can highly recommend their properties and staff. Casa Anita is a beautiful property. It is very clean and well-maintained. Its large yard filled with colourful birds, a giant ceiba tree and gorgeous, landscaped garden is a delight to relax in. The pool is clean and the perfect size for our family of four (kids 11 and 14 years) to enjoy daily. If we didn't feel like the pool, with a short 5 minute walk from the house, the Caribbean Sea. The home comes with foldable chairs and beach bags to use while you are visiting. Casa Anita is tastefully decorated, spacious and comes with a well-appointed kitchen if you choose to self-cater your stay. Clean drinking water is provided as needed at no additional cost. Beds were comfortable and each room has a fan and air conditioning. The Abbey del Sol staff are fantastic. They are immediately responsive, easily accessible, friendly and offer local information to enhance your stay. We were able to fully relax at Casa Anita, feeling peaceful, safe and well looked after while at the same time able to have our own space and privacy. We loved having access to the bikes to explore town, and did so daily. With easy access to the grocery store in town, as well as countless dining options both in PM port-side and La Colonia (an easy 10 minute taxi ride from Casa Anita), you truly have everything you need to enjoy all that this beautiful area of Mexico offers. We made some great family memories here.

  We recently spent 16 days at Casa Anita. The bedrooms and bathrooms are quite spacious. The kitchen, dining and living space is not large but quite usable for 2 people. And we absolutely love the outdoor space. The pool, pool deck, and side yard are just a wonderful area to hang out in. The house is well maintained, the yard and pool cleaned every 2-3 days. The Abbey Del Sol staff are just across the street and so helpful. The house is in a quiet area of town with just a 1 block walk to the nearest beach club and about 6-8 block walk to get to most restaurants. This year there was a stray cat who has been hanging around the house for the past few months and we were happy to continue feeding her and have her be part of our vacation experience!

  We had an excellent experience with Abbey del Sol and their vacation property, Casa Anita. The kitchen was well equipped and the water ran hot (both not a guarantee with vacation rentals!). We enjoyed the outdoor space after our mornings at the beach. Bikes were an added bonus and provided quick access to town for grocery shopping or dinner. Casa Anita was extremely clean in all the nooks and crannies - impressive for such a large space!   This was our first time to Puerto Morelos. We were a bit hesitant since we know some others areas well. However, we booked Casa Anita and of course, the pictures looked great.
  
  Communication with staff before the trip was great.
  
  We arrived at night and the home was perfect for us. The place is clean, beds comfortable, and the pool is great!
  
  We enjoy cooking and the kitchen had enough pots, pans, cups, etc.
  
  Sitting by the pool in the a.m. watching the sunrise was amazing.
  
  Casa Anita has a very nice and private yard on a quiet street away from the noise of town (even though there is not much noise in Puerto Morelos overall).
  
  The staff was great, friendly, and were very helpful.
  
  This home is not cheap but compared to other places and cities we've staying from Playa to Tulum, this is clean and comfortable.
  
  We had 2 bikes and they were great for heading into town, quick trip to the store, etc.
  
  Our kids loved that we had a pool and they enjoyed the private yard where we could have some downtime, swim, read, and play futbol.
  
  We will for sure come back to Casa Anita!

  This is second time staying at Casa Anita and we just LOVE this place! It is so comfortable in so many ways. We love the aesthetic value of the home. We love the added space in the lush garden and the covered porch. We got stuck with some rainy days, and to have all of this space makes a difference if you can't get out on the beach as much. And this end of town is very quiet as well but just a block or so to the beach. I will miss sitting out by the pool looking out at the garden each night...   We loved our week in Puerto Morelos and the Casa Anita was a huge part of that. We woke up every morning for a dip in the pool followed by fresh fruit for breakfast and a 5-minute walk out for a dip in the sea.
  
  The house had everything we needed for two adults and two pre-teens. We self-catered two meals a day and never lacked for cooking gear. The house was a delight from the moment we first saw it. As pictured and better.
  
  As for service, the Mariela and the folks she works with are grand. She was easy to reach by WhatsApp and in the office starting days before our visit.
  
  The only thing to be aware of is that you're at the far end of town, so it's a 20 minute walk into the center. We will rent two extra bikes for the week next time we're in town to cut down on hot walks in the sun!
  
  We are well traveled on four continents and this was one of our best weeks of all time and my only unreserved 5-star review.

  We stayed at Casa Anita for 16 nights. It was a great little house and suited our needs perfectly. The bedrooms were spacious with comfy beds and plenty of closet space and hangers. The bathrooms were large too and had beautiful Mexican sinks and tile. The kitchen/dining/living space was not that large but was certainly enough for the 2 of us. The kitchen was well supplied and the living room furniture was new and comfortable. The tv was new and if you wanted to watch tv you could get 413 different USA channels! The wifi was strong and fine for our needs. What was the best, though, was the outside space. A lovely pool area with new lounge chairs plus a table with 4 chairs plus a stunning side yard filled with beautiful plants and trees and more lounge chairs to sit in the shade. The pool is not heated but in March with the sun shining on it all day, the water was a very comfortable temperature. There was a family of iguanas who lived in the yard that we saw daily and many, many birds that we watched and listened to for hours. Even a coatimundi made an appereance once or twice. Because the yard and pool area were so lovely, we never even went to the beach club which was just 2 blocks away. The breezes that came into the backyard were just heavenly on the hot days we had. There were 2 bikes to use if you didn’t want to walk the 6-8 blocks into town for shopping or eating. The staff at Abbey Del Sol was right across the street to answer questions, bring more water, etc. The house was cleaned twice while we were there and the yard and pool were maintained frequently. Thanks Mary, Jin, Hugo and housecleaning staff for making our stay so wonderful. We will be back!

  We loved this Casa Anita so much that we would buy it if it was ever for sale.
  This house was perfect for us as a couple (or as a family of 4). I’ve never stayed at a cottage/condo that was equipped so well. We cooked some breakfast there and had everything we needed. Having our own pool was fantastic and we spent most of our days lounging by it. The furniture and the bed was so comfortable and having a few bikes at our disposal was fun for a few rides around town. It was also nice and quite at night. One of the best things was that the side yard garden. It was so pleasant and a haven for some of the local birds. We would lounge in the pool and listen to the bird song every afternoon. The Casa is also just a block from the beach and about a 10 minute walk to all the restaurants. Jin and Nancy at Abbey del Sol were wonderful and quick to respond to anything that we needed. We will definitely be back again in the future.

  My husband and I stayed for 10 nights at Casa Anita. The property was well maintained, the house was spacious (could easily fit two couples), the kitchen was well stocked with appliances/gadgets, and the pool was perfect. We used the bikes to get into town or did the easy15 minute walk to restaurants, shops and the grocery store. The location is at the far end of town so it’s quiet and feels safe.
  We booked our airport transportation through Abbey del Sol so that made it easy when we showed up. They also gave us suggestions on cenote tours and helped set up the taxi ride to Zapote Cenote. We had a great time!

  Casa Anita and the associated Abbey del Sol exceeded our hope of an authentic experience in a charming atmosphere. Located on the edge of a quiet town, easy bike rides into town got us in the right mood and in a small way, proved to be a highlight. The staff was always happy to help: promptly refilling water, advice on a site to visit, and really anything they could possibly help with. The properties were even more charming than they appear on line. We spent time just strolling around the sites snapping photos of every courtyard, the vibrant still-life, the lush gardens, and every characteristic space. Puerto Morales is a such an authentic jewel of a town and I hope it is able to retain it's character and not become just another empty Cancun resort. We hope to someday return to this special, magical property. For those seeking something different and special and authentic - for those seeking a slice of life, I highly recommend these properties in this this town.

  Casa Anita is such a beautiful vacation home. We enjoyed our days lounging out by the pool and making food and drinks in the well supplied kitchen (it had everything we needed and more).
  The house is very clean and bright. The staff at Abbey Del Sol are so kind and helpful.
  The location was convenient and super safe (only a few minutes from the square by car and a few steps from the beach) and everything from the listing was accurate. I actually think the place is more beautiful than the photos show! The pool and property were very well maintained. I would 100% recommend this property.
  Some of our favourite restaurants that we ate at: Las Koras, El Manglar, Pelicanos, Le Papillon, Punta Corcho (try the Coco Relleno) the bar at Posada Amor was so cute and the drinks were phenomenal.

  Perfect private spot with fenced pool and yard, but just a short walk to the beach if that's your preference. The house is beautiful and has all the things you need for a comfortable vacation. The attentive and friendly staff is close by and available in the event you do need anything. Communication was excellent and if you want to experience some local adventures, they can arrange many types of outings. We took a trip to Ek Balaam, swam in a cenote, saw wood carvers in the jungle, had lunch with a family in a small village and went to the Sunday market in Cancun - all expertly guided and very enjoyable. A short walk to the town square brings you to too many restaurants to try in one trip. We had excellent food and service everywhere! Book it - you will be glad you chose this place!

We arranged the shuttle service and they were ready and waiting for us as scheduled. The home surpassed our expectations, it was beautiful and clean equipped with all the necessities. The pool was great to have, and beach access easy! Hopefully the lot behind does not get developed any time soon! Office staff were extremely helpful and arranged taxi service, car rental, bike rental and even called a restaurant for our reservation! Marissa spoke English very well, and was very approachable. The home is located at the outskirts of the town centre but is an easy bike ride to shops. Unico beach front Restaurant is just across the street, great food and massage service there.   My wife and I stayed at Casa Anita during a recent (5/3/17-5/9/17) trip to Puerto Morelos. We could not have been happier with our choice of accommodations. The home is beautiful and well maintained. The only complaint we had was having to leave and go back home to the US. I would like to make sure that anyone considering Casa Anita for the first time and are concerned about its proximity to the beach, the beach is very close. The previous week we stayed at a resort in Playa del Carmen and the walk from our room to the beach was much longer than it was from Casa Anita to the beach. You are literally about a 1 minute walk away from stepping into the warm waters of the Caribbean! We took daily advantage of the on-site bicycles and rode into town to eat and shop. Puerto Morelos is beautiful! You won't be disappointed.

  We really enjoyed Casa Anita and the support from the whole Abbey Del Sol team. Casa Anita is spotlessly clean very well equipped and in a great location just a short walk to the beach (only problem with that is you are leaving the lovely garden and pool !!) or an easy stroll into town which has a really good selection of restaurants.
  The only problem we had, was with a Taxi booking I had made from England that did not turn up , however Nancy in the Abbey Del Sol office resolved the problem really quickly. Jin picked us up from the Airport and took us back again in a nice car and right on time both ways.
  We would definitely stay at Casa Anita again or if unavailable another Abbey Del Sol property.

  Our family stayed at Casa Anita over Thanksgiving 2014 and had a wonderful experience. The casa has an old world charm with its wood windows and doors and mature landscaping. Plenty of room for a family of 4. The office staff are fantastic - can't say enough about them. The beach is a five minute walk and we strolled nightly into the town center. We recommend La Cantina Habanero for fish tacos but you will find many great places to eat in Puerto Morelos. Everyone is laid-back and very friendly. Casa Anita was all that we hoped for. We will definitely be back.

  A couple of good things. We loved the location and the staff was pleasant. I don't know if was just an off week for them but when we arrived there was a skillet on the stove with grease and pieces of bacon in it. Don't how long that has been sitting there. We turned on the air-condition in the master bedroom it didn't work moved to the second bedroom, they got it fixed but then water poured out covering the floor. Turned the light on in the kitchen it didn't work.I took a light out of lamp and put it in so we could have a light. Got a DVD from their office and found out the player wasn't hooked up to the television and when we got it working the DVD wouldn't play because it said, "not for this region." You only get five gallons of water for your stay after that you have to purchase it. I went in the morning and order another five gallon at 4:30 it hadn't come so I went back over and they had forgotten. We did get it and later that night someone came and apologize. I could tell you more but I think you get the picture. It is the little things that makes a property a good or great.

Clearly it was an "off week" for our staff and we are working with them to fix these oversights. As you can see from the many positive, previous reviews, normally our staff and properties are performing very well but there is no excuse for their poor performance in this case. We are glad you enjoyed the town and hope you can consider visiting again, if not with us then with one of the other properties in town.

  The outdoor space at Casa Anita was perfect and the location was great as well. The house could do with a few cosmetic touch-ups but was nice enough overall. Amenities were sparse but the staff were very helpful and quick to provide whatever we had run short of or was missing. Overall we were satisfied and would likely stay here again.

  Everything was wonderful except for the ant issue in the kitchen area and the slow drain in the shower. Suggestions would be to purchase a beach umbrella and small cooler for the Villa. Also it would be nice to have had bikes that the seats could be adjusted. Otherwise everything was great.

  This little property is lovely, we even had a resident cat during our stay. The property was spotless and the staff really helpful. My only reservation is about the noise around the property. There are several renovations going on nearby and there is some pretty heavy duty construction traffic using a turning circle in front of the pool. Constant drilling adds to that. The bedroom windows are traditional wooden slats rather than glazed so you awake with the birds and dogs in the morning. Despite those things though we had a lovely stay, and if the construction had finished, would definitely stay there again.

  Thank you to Nancy, Freddy, Jin, Cesar and the rest of the gang at Abbey del Sol! They were all so very friendly and helpful and made our first vacation with our 15 month old son one to remember.
  
  We were looking for a location that was comfortable, quiet, affordable, had it own pool, allow us to cook our own meals, had easy access to the beach and town without being in the middle of everything. Casa Anita fit all of these criteria and more!
  
  We found the property exactly as depicted on their website and very clean. It's the perfect property for a small family or two couples. The location feels very private because there are vacant lots on two sides. Also being close to the end of the north side of town is just the perfect distance to get away from the hustle and bustle of the town center while still being close enough for a nice walk or short rides on the Abbey del Sol provided bikes. Freddy was even nice enough to provide us with a bike equipped with a child's seat so our son could go on his very first bike rides which he loved!
  
  Access to the beach is an easy short two blocks out the back gate. The pool was wonderful and also perfect for our toddler son with its nice wading area.
  
  Again, Nancy and the rest of the staff are so friendly and helpful. Nearly anything we needed was easily obtained by either asking Nancy or could be bought at the store in town or in La Colonia.
  
  The kitchen was very well equipped and we were able to cook the majority of our meals at home.
  
  Overall, Puerto Morelos is a beautiful location, very safe, and everything from the beaches to the restaurants are amazingly child friendly.

  Casa Anita is the perfect property for a private retreat and comes with a great pool for cooling off morning, noon and night. A great plus is that we were only a short walk from the beach and a 15 minute walk to the town square. Meanwhile, the kitchen here has everything you need to create any meal you can think of and of course Puerto Morelos is filled with tasty, quaint restaurants. We used the free bikes to get around town every day. If you are looking for a quiet, private retreat, this is the place you have been looking for.

  we had a wonderful time at Casa Anita. The pool was perfect, especially for our son who spent most mornings and evenings in it. The beach was walking distance, less than 5 minutes. The house was clean and had everything we needed. We did grocery shopping and made breakfast at home and ordered dinner or went out most evenings using the guide that came with the house. The staff were very helpful. We even got a babysitter one night so that we could go out. We will return.

  Casa Anita was just perfect for our vacation. The beds have new mattresses which were very comfortable.   Our 10 days at Casa Anita werea all we expected and more. The house is lovely, with lots of light and space, feels a lot larger than it actually is. My wife was attending a workshop nearby, so we had friends for dinner several nigths at the terrace, the grill and kitchen equipment allows to entertain a group of at least 8 people. Don ́t need to bring anythig but your clothes, shampoo and sunscreen, as the kitchen is fully equiped and the house has everyting you ́ll need, from towels and beach towels to beach chairs, bicyces, etc.
  Already planing our next, hopefully longer visit!

  After searching the area for a rental to accommodate 3 people, we chose Casa Anita. The photos describing the property were very descriptive and met our needs. After arriving and settling in, we all agreed the photos did not do it justice. The casa was perfect!! Loved the openness of it, the wood windows and doors. There were 4 of them to get in and out of the casa. All with beautiful views of the property, side yard, and pool. We enjoy cooking while on vacation and found the kitchen to be well equiped. We also enjoyed BBQ'ing achiote chicken and arrachera out on the charcoal grill. The staff at Abbey del Sol just couldn't do enough for us, very professional. We will definitely be returning to Casa Anita.
