Glass sliding doors open onto the pool area. The perfect place to enjoy your morning coffee and meals. Patio with table and chairs. Two lounge chairs to relax and read. This is one of our larger ground-floor apartments; spacious, comfortable, and well-maintained. New king bed with 500 thread count sheets. The living room has a sofa bed. A well-equipped kitchen with granite countertops. Free Wi-Fi, a flat-screen TV. Linens supplied. The central office is only one block away with friendly English-speaking staff to help you with anything you need.

For larger families and groups it is possible to also rent Casa Zarah, a 3-bedroom home, and Casa Catalina #2, a second-floor, one-bedroom apartment. These units share a large lot separated by a wall with a connecting door. Great location, only a two-minute walk to the beach and 15 minutes to the town square.

  We loved our holiday in Puerto Morelos in part because of the accommodation at Casa Catalina. The apartment was lovely, exactly as depicted...very clean, beautifully decorated and had everything one could want in the kitchen. The staff at Abbey Del Sol were friendly and helpful every step of the way from booking to check out. The location is a short walk to the best part of the beach. We are seniors and found it too far for a comfortable, leisurely stroll to the town square. However, it is a do-able 20-25 minute walk and very easy by bicycle. Highly recommend for a stay of any duration.

  My husband and I stayed at Casa Catalina. We had a fabulous time. It was decorated beautifully. It smelled good. It was sparkling clean. The beds were so comfortable that I didn’t have trouble sleeping the first night in a new place. The towels were fluffy. There were plenty of dishes. The pool was clean and a great temperature. The welcome book gave great information. It was on a quiet street. There were restaurants and the beach close by. Bicycles were provided. Every little detail was thought of for a perfect stay. I can’t wait to go back!

  We rented a larger house and this smaller unit, for an extra bedroom. it is right behind the house, and perfect for anyone looking for 4 bedrooms. But it is also perfect on its own: spacious, well appointed, a full kitchen, sleeps 4 with the pullout couch, and the extra bonus of a private swimming pool. 2 blocks from the beach. Highly recommended.
