Welcome to Casa Agua Azul, completely rebuilt in 2017. This gorgeous, well-appointed 3 story home has 3 bedrooms, two on the second floor and a stunning third floor master suite. All bedrooms are equipped with king beds and private bathrooms. Each has a wide veranda looking out to the ocean with comfortable table or sitting areas. The woodwork is sumptuous. Made of rich, tropical wood in a deep brown. The wood is set off by all the lovely color accents in the home. Relax in the comfortable living room with the large flat screen TV, DVD and Sonos music system and free Wi-Fi. Lovely, private, walled garden and pool area. Fully-equipped kitchen and a dining table that seats 6.

*Please note: the house is NOT suitable for children under 7 because of the open, tile staircase and steps into the sunken living room. *

Only a 1/2 block from the beach and 4 blocks to the town square, great location in a safe, peaceful neighborhood. Our English speaking manager can help you enjoy the perfect vacation. We can help arrange individualized tours and excursions as well.

  Beautiful property as usual with Abbey Del Sol. When I rent a property that they manage I know what to expect. This is my 10th time renting from them. Several different properties. This time my niece forgot her purse with passport in it at the house. Jin one of the management team rushed to meet us half way to the airport to give us her purse. We made our flight just because of him!

  week at this beautiful property in Puerto Morelos. The house is amazing! So much outside seating on so many levels of the house. We enjoyed the rooftop lounge for sunrise & sunset! 5 gallon water bottles supplied by rental company. Beach chairs, umbrellas are there for guests. Fantastic response with the team at Abbey Del Sol! Abbey Del Sol will arrange local transport and snorkeling. Our family booked to take. Day trip to Tulum & Cenote, thanks Lili, it was a wonderful day! Jesus & Luis took us snorkeling just out in front of the property. Again, all arranged through ADS. Easy, 10 minutes walk into town for meal, grocery & souvenirs. Eat at The Local & Blue Morelos. Do be aware of the spiral staircase, beautiful however not for children or people with mobility issues. Gardener / maintenance man comes every am, not intrusive in the slightest. Was nice to have someone checking on the property everyday, made everyone feel safe. I felt safe in this community, day and night. We did stay together and walk in groups which most families would anyway. We did not see a single “bug” anywhere on the property, if you’ve stayed in Florida, you know exactly what I’m talking about! Would love to come and stay again! More adventure and way better food than an All Inclusive in Cancun. This place does not disappoint!

  This house is spectacular. Three floors plus a roof top patio looking out on the ocean. One of my favorite things is all of the private areas in the house including a private balcony with each bedroom. We loved meeting in the morning on the front balcony as it was cozy, quite and shaded. One caution, the bedroom suite on the third floor faces East and has no blinds, so if you choose this bedroom be prepared to be up with the sun. It is a lovely view though!
  
  Puerto Morelos is the perfect Mexican Vacation getaway. It's midway between Cancun and Playa del Carmen, and while the town has grown a lot in the past couple of years it still has the charm of a smaller village with lots of great restaurants.

  What a lovely vacation destination for three couples! Perfect location (near town, beside beach), gorgeous decor, fully-equipped house, en suite bathrooms, and so many beautiful terraces that one can always be in the either the shade or the sun all day long. Fantastic service from the property management company. When we said the TV was not working, someone arrived and fixed it within the hour. So easy to deal with!

  Casa Aqua Azul is a special property in a wonderful location in Puerto Moralos. Beautifully decorated, small private pool, Sonos sound system and exceptional management by Abby Del Sol rentals. One block from the ocean and little over a mile walk to mid town. Three floor with excellent, comfortable seating and many different views from the roof top and outside every one of the three bedrooms. Physically challenged need to be aware that there are many stairs. It will hard not to be wowed by the charm and comfort of this outstanding property.

  We loved this property. Abbey Del Sol was a pleasure to work with and Jin went out of his way to help with Covid tests and any other questions about the property. The bedrooms were extremely comfortable with great mattresses (these are hit and miss in Mexico). AC has been added to the Living Room and Kitchen areas (I saw past reviews mentioning this shortcoming). The pool and grounds were very well maintained, typically about every other day. The kitchen was fully equipped with everything we needed. There are many balconies with lots of different sitting areas. The rooftop was fantastic for sunbathing and relaxing with brilliant sunrises. I could see the stairs being a problem for some people, but we are in our 50's and had no problem with them. We have rented many houses in the area and this one is at the top of the list. We will definitely be back to Casa Aqua Azul.

  Starting to lose count of the number of times we have stayed here! As always, AbbeyDelSol has done a wonderful job in maintaining the property and taking care of details. I'm not a youtuber or anything but I posted a couple of videos of this wonderful home that pictures simply can't do justice. IF you are looking for wonderful outdoor space, privacy, pool, proximity to the beach. We had two couples who had never ventured off of the "all inclusive" vacations and now Agua Azul will be even more difficult to book as they fell in love with the town, house, and abbeydelsol as well.
  Good Eats: El Nicho, Mangata, Muelle Once, Punta Corcha, El Pirata, Pizza Nostra, Burger Underground, My Little Italy, YumYum Wok, My Little Pizza, Local Coffee Shop, La Choza Del Puerto. My wife is a Vegan with stomach issues. Puerto Morelos has THE BEST RESTERAUNTS AND LOTS OF NON-PROCESSED FOOD OPTIONS! Also, ask about services for in house cooking (Lidia is awesome!). Lastly, we have a great time playing Horse Shoes ON THE BEACH at 2pm on Thursdays with a bunch of ExPats next to My Paradise Beach Bar (500 ft from the home). Be there at 130.   We planned our stay at Casa Agua Azul in early 2020 before the pandemic impacts started. We are so happy we choose this property for our 2-week long vacation celebration!
  
  The home is as beautiful as the pictures show, even more so. Very nice features and well maintained. 2-bedrooms are on the 2nd floor and the master is on the 3rd. lots of stairs but good exercise. The roof top deck is gorgeous, accessed off the 3rd floor patio with stairs to the top. Spent many afternoons and evenings up top. The pool was just the right size and 5-feet deep. The Sonus sound system is really nice. Just download the app from Google/Apple store and you can select music and control the volume in all rooms, as well as the pool area.
  
  Distance to the beach is extremely close. Distance to the beach city center with restaurants, shops and supermarket is about 6-blocks walk. Used the ATM's in the supermarket without a problem. If you're shopping for jewelry you must stop at Godfathers Jewelry and meet Reuben and his wife. They are special people, have beautiful custom pieces and will be sure to meet your needs. We miss them already!
  
  The Abbey Del Sol staff were wonderful. Any questions or concerns were answered quickly with a smile. Really the only suggestion we could offer is for the Master bedroom. The windows here need to have the same slider shades that are in the other two bedrooms. This will help to reduce the bright sun (in case you wanted to sleep in) and reduce the rapid heat increase due to the tropical sunshine. Will also reduce A/C use in that room as well.
  
  An incredible vacation and we hope to return very soon to Casa Agua Azul.

  Where do I even begin? This rental took my breath away. First off, this rental is in immaculate condition! So much love has been put into it from top to bottom. There was absolutely nothing more I could’ve asked for. The rental even had stuff I didn’t expect such a purified water, beach chairs and umbrellas, beach bags with towels in them. The beach was only steps away and it was private, never crowded. There was 5 bathrooms (yes 5!), and 4 balconies, one nicer than the last! My fiancé and I thoroughly enjoyed the scenic views from our bedroom balcony and the rooftop was breathtaking. One of my favorite features of the house was the sonos sound system. Next, let’s talk about location. Puerto Morelos is a beautiful, small town. The house is located about 2- 3 blocks from where all the action starts. You will find the cutest little restaurants, a huge supermarket and plenty of gift shops in the center. Everything was also so cheap! Drinks, food, excursions etc.... overall I give my stay and my experience a 10 out of 10.

Pripert as expected was clean and orderly. The addition of the main floor cooling was awesome. Pool was delightful. The view of the ocean spectacular, close proximity to the beach is hard to beat. This house really is the best of the best. Wonderful location, easy access to dining. I took One on one Spanish lessons with Victor Alcazar, from Puerto Morelos language center (thanks Mary for introducing us). That was a great experience and he is top notch. Already booked another trip next year!

  Perfect house and just the place to be as Covid-19 was overtaking the world. The beach and water were lovely most days, although it’s clear that a better way of collecting and eliminating sargassum weed is needed. People and office staff are excellent.   Casa Agua Azul and Abbey del Sol went above and beyond our experience in Puerto Morelos. From the moment we were picked up at the airport, (which I highly recommend), and taken to Casa Agua Azul, our family knew this was going to be a vacation of a lifetime. Walking into the home took our breath away! Jin, from Abbey del Sol, met us and gave us a tour of the home and it's amenities. All of the bedrooms looked like master bedrooms. The beds were very comfortable, showers worked great with plenty of hot water and good water pressure. The whole house had comfortable, modern decor and art. The pool was the perfect size and was always cool and refreshing, even with the July temperatures.The kitchen was perfectly equipped with plenty of pots and pans and food storage containers.The washer and dryer really came in handy. You are provided with a 5 gallon water cooler with plenty of fresh water. We had an issue with the cooler one day, and was provided with a brand new, out of the box replacement the next morning, There are 2 refrigerators. We had no stress making reservations for touring or getting taxis, as Jin handled everything! He was always available by text or phone call with an immediate reply to any of our questions. He provided bikes for us one day to take into town, which is a quick walk/bike away.We were a bit nervous travelling to another country, but this all went away as soon as we walked into Casa Agua Azul and met Jin. We absolutely felt safe and secure in the small town of Puerto Morelos. There is a supermarket within walking distance for everything you need. My family and I look forward to returning to Puerto Morelos and Casa Agua Azul or any of the beautiful properties that Abbey del Sol has to offer. You can't beat excellent customer service!

  How do you improve PERFECT? Casa Agua Azul is a beautiful house to enjoy the beach and the town of Puerto Morelos. Decorated, maintained and supplied so very well, it was not a problem relaxing and slowing down. This was our third time to PM and we will be back again.

  Having stayed in the same home prior to its renovation, I can say the owner's "hit it out of the park"! Casa Agua Azul is stunning. The 2 main bedroom suites with large private balconies and sea views/breezes are exactly what you want from a Mexican winter's vacation. Even the 3rd suite which faces the opposite direction has direct access to one of the oceanside porches. A third porch on the front of the home was a nice retreat in the afternoon to watch the sunset or to practice yoga anytime. Main living area (kitchen, dining and living room are spacious, open and lead out to the pool. The pool area is charming and enticing. Even though the house is steps from the beach, we spent more using the pool and surrounding patios. Having stayed in the house before, we were well aware of the open staircase, so it is not an issue for us. For groups with children, the home may not be optimal. Lastly, the addition of the roof top deck was genius. The sunrise/sunset and sea views it affords are remarkable. Our only regret is that the home was already booked for next year during our vacation window!

  This beautiful three bedroom house was the best place we have stayed since coming to Puerto Morelos. The house is decorated just exactly as shown in the pictures. It is roomy and comfortable with views of the ocean from the top floor. The property is very clean and well cared for. The beds provide a most comfortable sleep. All rooms have a private bathroom. The pool is beautiful and is cleaned every day.
  
  The location of the house is perfect! It is a nice walk into town and two blocks from the beach. The restaurants provided us with many choices of cuisine.
  A new grocery store has been built just off the town square. It has everything you would ever need.
  
  Our day trips included seeing the ruins of Tulum and learning about the Mayan culture. We did take a day trip to Isla Mujeres, which was disappointing due to the high level of motor scooters and golf carts.
  
  We absolutely recommend this house to anyone who wants to stay in one of the best properties in this quaint fishing village. In fact we would re-book this house next time we visit.

  This home is beautifully appointed and comfortable. It fit the description and was clean and well-maintained.The kitchen is fully stocked. There are so many lovely outdoor spaces, including the pool area, 3 decks and the rooftop. Just 1/2 block from the beach and a short walk into town. The staff at Abbey del Sol is so helpful. We enjoyed breakfast at Cafe Layla, and dinners at La Sirena, El Chimichurri, John Gray, and Le Papillon. We rented bikes from Green Bikes. We hope to come back soon!

  The home and landscaping is beautiful. Highlight was nice decor and having lots of different private spaces (4 different decks and backyard pool) for family to spread out. Downside as others have written: gets hot in kitchen/living area on ground floor (no air conditioning), and extensive tile and stairs dangerous for non-adults (though definitely worth it for views). Mary and Jin from management company were very responsive and helpful.

  This property was exactly as described or nicer. The bedrooms are huge and comfortable with AC units in each and outside access to balconies on all levels. The roof top deck is the Bomb! outstanding view, and with the seaweed bloom on the beach :(, this was a nice alternative to beach sitting as long as there was a breeze. Evening star gazing was the best.
  The main floor was a large space for 6 adults to share. The kitchen was large and the management company brought lots of 5 gallon fresh water bottles.
  Con: No AC on the main level. I would suggest adding and AC unit to the main level to help with the heat. Some free standing oscillating fans would be nice as well.The pool was a delight and a great way to cool off in the afternoon. We stayed one week and chose not to add maid service. Out your back gate from your pool and courtyard you are a brief walk down an alley road to the beach entrance. So convenient! Go left down the beach for drinks at UNICO beach bar and right down the beach to get an amazing $40 hour seaside massage. Beach chairs and towels are provided at this rental.
  Puerto Morales is a quaint little fishing village that we love. We are scuba divers and dive with Dorado Buceo Veracruz. Professional, safe & FUN dive company! Highly recommended! They even came to our rental house to pick us up our first day with all our gear. Gear is rinsed and dried daily for you.
  Eat out often, we did not find a bad meal. We prepared our lunches & breakfasts daily in the large kitchen.
  Overall, super rental and attentive management company. And we burned calories climbing stairs! bonus!

  This vacation rental exceeded our expectations. The house was amazing and the staff was beyond helpful. The lack of air conditioning through the house was not as bad as it seemed. The only thing I would recommend is the property should come up with a transportation package that is included in the fee. That would make guests feel much more secure. Other than that this is definitely a must l plan on returning. The town is amazing and so are the residents.

  Casa Agua Azul is the perfect place for anyone, from a romantic getaway to a couples trip to a family vacation. The house is huge, with lots of outdoor spaces to hang out throughout the property. Multiple cozy verandas, a fantastic pool area and a private rooftop - perfect for morning coffee, late afternoon sunsets and evening stargazing - really make this place special. The A/C in each bedroom keep you cool for a great night of peaceful sleep. Beach access is super easy, too. Lastly, the staff at Abbey del Sol was amazing. Any questions or concerns were resolved quickly and with a smile. We'll definitely be back!

  The home is stunning. However if you visit during the warmer months be prepared to sweat. There is AC in the bedrooms, not in main areas- kitchen/dinning/living. We had all screens open, but there were few days with a breeze.
  Juan and Jin were beyond courteous and helpful. Very friendly and kind. Beds & pillows were very comfortable as well as the furniture inside and out.
  Bikes would have been a nice amenity to go along with the rental to get to and from town. Walking does become extremely tiresome in the humidity.
  Please be aware that you will be climbing stairs quite often, they are beautiful- but A LOT of them.
  The beach chairs came in very handy as they have a cooler compartment as well as other storage on them and you can carry them backpack style. I wish I had known- I wouldn't have brought a beach tote or cooler with us LOL The pool is refreshing and the outdoor shower is a godsend.
  We would only recommend the house to family and friends during the cooler months because of the lack of AC downstairs and the amount of stairs to boot with walking into town several times daily without bikes as part of the rental. Otherwise, the home is as described. Cooler months I'm sure the house feels comfortable with screens being used. Locals were friendly, the landscaping breath taking. Only a very short walk to the beach.
  We took a bus to the grocery 2.15 usd (45ish pesos) and a taxi back 40 pesos. Very affordable. From the house into town a taxi ride for four was 30 pesos. Lots of little places to dine. I'm a celiac therefore cannot have gluten, everyone was very accommodating and I wasn't "glutened" at all during our stay. The 3rd floor veranda is where we spent our time when we were at the house (other than the pool) the view and breeze was best up there.

  Casa Agua Azul is an amazing house with a huge fully equipped kitchen and living space. Each of the three bedrooms has its own private bathroom and balcony. The views go on forever and the rooftop area is a perfect place to watch the sunrise and sunset. There are a lot of steep stairs that might not be good for children or older folks that have difficulty with steps, but it wasn’t a problem for us. The location is close to town and restaurants and even closer to the beach. The private pool was perfect and the beach towels and beach chairs provided were a bonus.
  We booked our airport transfer through Abbey del Sol and it worked well. Our driver was willing to stop by the grocery store on our way and the place was ready upon arrival.
  We will definitely book with Abbey del Sol again!

  Wonderfully situated property in Puerto Morales. Stunning views and great proximity to the beach. House is well laid out to share with family and friends. Lots of separate areas for privacy. Lovely outside terraces including the pool area. Washrooms were large and well equipped. Kitchen was satisfactory. In most houses of this caliber, a dishwasher would be expected but it was not an issue. A kettle however is a must. The oven lighter is also not intuitive. More instructions regarding the entertainment system would also,be appreciated. Open staircases could also be an issue with younger children. Small gripes on a very special property

  The house was absolutely beautiful the amenities were fantastic except for the outside grill. If it was my house I will be wary of guests using lighter fluid and charcoal a propane grill would be much safer . The kitchen dining room and front room were much too hot to enjoy even with the breeze which was still very warm . Cable TV in the master bedroom would have been a blessing, since in the bedroom it's air-conditioned . Palapas or some sort of shade on the roof would be nice otherwise during the day the rooftop is useless too darn hot remember it's Mexico shade is welcomed . The only reason I would not recommend this property is because of how hot it is in the kitchen dining room and living room

    Brian, Thank you for your review. The house certainly is beautiful. The owner loves the open breezes through the ground floor when the doors are open. Summers are warm in the tropics and the breezes are a pleasant relief. The three floors of large shaded balconies are wonderful places to enjoy the ocean view and feel the breeze out of the sun. The roof top patio is the perfect place to enjoy the evening breezes and watch the stars come out. Many of our guests love the tropics and don't mind the heat. Hopefully someday you can come and enjoy the winter months when the temperatures are moderate and most guests never use the A/C. The house is even more spectacular then. Thank you, Abby

  We will thrilled to find the house just as the photos depicted. The house is stocked with everything you could need. Very clean and well cared for. Jin explained the whole house sound system which was great. You can listen to your playlist in one or all rooms. There are decks on all floors and it's hard to choose where you want to relax next! It rained two of our four days but we agreed there is no better place to be trapped. Covered decks allowed us to sit outside during the rain. Loved the little pool to cool off and the location is a short walk to Unico and My Paradise beach clubs and the town square. We are booking again for next year!
